When the decision not to have more litters with Vixen was made, we suddenly found ourselves needing a puppy for Leif. He was supposed to have had a puppy from Vixen – but that did not happen.

So we began investigating puppy plans with different breeders from whom we would like to get a puppy – and who had puppy plans within the next year.

Our search narrowed down to Sweden, where we contacted three breeders, all of whom we would love to get a puppy from. I had seen all three females in trials in Sweden, and I liked them all. We were a bit late, so even though all three breeders were positive about us, they already had a long list of potential puppy buyers.

The first litter was born at Digby Tollers on March 2, 2018 – four females and two males. Unfortunately, there was no puppy for us. Darn! But a few days later, we were contacted again to see if we were still interested, as they had decided to reject a puppy buyer for various reasons. Were we???? YES PLEASE.

And so Tiva came into our lives.

Tiva is Leif's dog. He is the one who trains her, and he is the one who will handle her in trials. She has been incredibly easy to teach. Unfortunately, she has developed some whining – enough that it doesn’t make sense to enter her in trials. It's a shame, because she is really incredibly talented.
